Beginning today, a new distribution group, WFD Postmaster, has been established, and the WFD All Users group will no longer be accessible.

If you have a message for all users of cabinet e-mail, you should submit a request to the WFD Postmaster on the Global Address list. The postmaster will determine whether the message will be sent to all users in the cabinet.

 The postmaster will base the determination on the Governor’s Office of Technology and cabinet policies, which were disseminated recently to all employees to read and sign. (If you have not received the new policy, please contact your supervisor.)

Postmaster duties are shared by the Office of Communication Services and the Office of Technology Services.
 In general, messages that are approved by the postmaster to be sent to all users must relate to cabinet or state government business and its employees and be time-sensitive and critical in nature.

Messages that are business related but not time-sensitive will be considered for the cabinet’s new Intranet site premiering Aug. 1, 2001.
