RE: Orientation and Mobility Services

The fee for Orientation and Mobility (O&M) services that may be paid to a private Certified O&M Provider, who is not a Department for the Blind employee, is up to $60.00 Per Hour for Evaluation or Training and up to $40.00 Per Hour for Travel Time. The prevailing state mileage rate may also be paid when the Certified O&M Provider is working outside his/her defined service area, normally bills the mileage, and initiates a request for mileage reimbursement in addition to the hourly Travel Time fee.
