RE:  Maintenance

Effective October 1, 1982, the maximum that may be paid for room and board is as follows:

a.  For short-term room & board (for a period of time generally less than a week) requiring the payment of daily rates rather than weekly or monthly, the maximum will be the state per diem rates.

b. For long-term room & board, the allowance will be the prevailing rate not to exceed $20.00 per day.  Where room and/or board are provided as separate items, the maximum food allowance will be $8.00 per day and the maximum allowance for lodging will be $12.00 per day.

c. Where room & board to exceed one month is anticipated, a BRS-9 (agreement for services) is required.
