SUBJECT:       Extended Employment Outcomes

As you all know, recent Federal Regulations regarding positive employment outcomes for individuals in extended employment have been published. In essence, the new regulations state that beginning October 1, 2001, no state VR agency can close a case successfully in extended employment.

This is just a reminder that if you have any cases that you plan to close in extended employment this fiscal year, you must place them in status 22 (in employment) by the first day of July.
